Stubborn Blemish?

This Friday, I'm flying out to Miami for my cousin's wedding and my skin was blemish-free and of course without FAIL, not one but, a couple appear a week prior to the big event. I've been trying to keep doing my usual regimen but it seems to me that it's not working! In an effort to boost the process of clearing up my skin I've been doing a few extra steps in my usual routine.

I cleanse my face then I put on a Dermadoctor Sulfur Mask that smells wondrous despite the fact that it has sulfur (because I've had WAY smelly sulfur masks before). Sulfur will dry up the blemish and help with inflammation. Also, since I can't find my benzoyl peroxide with 10% (the highest you'll find just about anywhere) I've had to substitute it with hydrogen peroxide. So, after the mask, I dab a little hydrogen peroxide with a cotton swab on the stubborn blemishes. Benzoyl peroxide and Hydrogen peroxide both help, like sulfur, to dry up the blemish and eliminate bacteria. If you find that your skin is too sensitive to take to the benzoyl peroxide, definitely try the hydrogen peroxide because it is much more gentle.

After that, I rub on the Murad Exfoliating Acne Treatment with salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is going to penetrate the pore and clean out the bacteria in there, it also exfoliates the dead skins cells that might be building up on your skin causing acne. Then of course, I follow up with a creamy moisturizer (Hope in a Jar by Philosophy) since the above products have a tendency to dry out the skin. From what I can see, it's been helping. So if you have stubborn blemishes try these steps!

I was so excited the other day about all the new stuff that I completely forgot to tell you about two other new things!

Soooo, if you already loved the original Bad Gal Lash and it's sisters Bad Gal Lash Blue and Bad Gal Lash Plum, there's a new sister in town: Bad Gal Lash Brown! So if you're not into the traditional black of the Bad Gal Lash Mascara but loved the extension and volumizing and wanted it in a more subtle color, Bad Gal Lash Brown is sure to seal the deal.

Something else I forgot that I as really excited about sharing with you guys was about an Ed Hardy palette I saw. It's so cute! Of course the packaging is great, colorful, and fun. What I really like about this palette is that it has built in lights for when you apply your makeup! It's so much fun!

Stop Thinking, We Do All the Research For YOU! More Gift Ideas!

The holidays are approaching so don't be surprised when it's December 20th and you have no idea what to get! Well, luckily for you, I've done tons of research and all you have to do is browse this blog and decide what palette or set goes to which person on your holiday list! I'm a visual learner, so I took a truck load of pictures for you guys to see how cute everything is!

This is a new Harajuku Lovers Wallet, exclusive to Sephora! It's so cute. There's room for your cards and your cash of course!

This little set is The Harajuku Lovers Fragrance Set for $100. I like this because if you really wanted to you could split it up for four people, or three, and you could keep one for yourself ~_^. Also, these are the Limited Edition Fragrances, they're slightly different from the original ones.

What got my attention from this palette was the packaging. It's beautiful, exotic looking, intricate, very detailed but simple all at the same time. This is for the friend who loves creative things! This is the Hands of Hope Palette from Cargo. The best part of this palette is that it costs only $29. That is an AMAZING price point for 9 full size shadows.

Also from Cargo, we have the Runway Palette. I ♥ ♥ ♥ the way the eyeshadows and blushes come. This palette was inspired of course by the runways of Fashion Week for Fall 09. If you look closely at the picture (and I think you can click on it to make it larger) you'll see that the buttons are eyeshadows, the blushes and bronzer look like a cable-knit sweater pattern. I'm sure you'll all have a friend that will appreciate the clothes-inspired makeup! It retails at $49.

This here is the Kat Von D fragrance ring. It is HUGE. When I put it on, I was like "Hot damn! This is Heavy!" You just swivel it open and you get the solid perfume inside to rub on your pulse points at any given time of the day. This one costs $30.

When I saw this set, I was pretty surprised. Clean is a big deal at my job and if you haven't caught a whiff of it yet, I suggest you spray it ASAP so you can see what all the fuss is about. Each fragrance is scented after something you might think is pretty mundane, for example, the way you smell after you take a shower, we all know it's ...clean, haha. Anywho, you'll probably end up sniffing yourself many times during the day because you smell so fresh and clean. What surprised me about this set is that you get four 1 ounce bottles of fragrance for 65 bucks ONLY. That's ridiculous to me! It's kind of like paying for only one of the bottles and getting three free. I'm putting that one on my list!

Hi Guys!

I hope you guys were able to see our 10th Episode Spectacular, if not, I'll post a link up soon! It was so much fun, there was so much energy, Pep and I were bouncing around, we were hot, but most of all we were excited! Any feedback on how you thought the show went would be awesome for us! Yay! 10 Episodes of Lipstick Language, sounds like a small amount but you have no idea how much work goes into it!

On to business!

I wanted to share a couple of tips and products that I've been doing/using because I swear my skin looks good! I usually have difficulties with my skin but I don't know what it is this time around. Of course, we can't control the way our skin behaves, so consistency is KEY!

Recently, I switched over to the Caudalie Gentle Cleanser. It's for Normal to Dry skin types. It's creamy so, it doesn't lather up like a traditional cleanser. You might not like that if you're used to a soapy cleanser but, give this creamy cleanser a chance because it leaves your skin refreshed and not stripped of it's natural oils. It has no strange smell, so you'll love it!

A couple of weeks ago I broke out, so I needed something to take care of my blemishes! A while ago, I used to use Dr. Murad's Acne line but used together all the steps were too much for my skin, and I ended up with irritated skin. Anywho, I found some of the Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel and started using that after the cleansing step, so it isn't irritating my skin and my blemishes are basically gone. It even looks like the spots that I've been getting have significantly decreased!

The last product I've been using is the Bliss Best of Skintentions moisturizer! I LOOOOOVE it. It has SPF 15 for UVB rays (the rays that burn) and it's also rated PA++, this means that is has protection against UVA rays (the rays that cause aging). It smells great, it has phytonutrients, that instantly make the skin glow.This moisturizer also delivers vitamins to the face that help as antioxidants and protect the skin from free radicals.
